Who is Black Impact Houston?
Black Impact Houston (BIH) is an alliance of nonprofit organizations that are led by Black people and that have a mission that primarily benefits Black communities.
The primary focus is to support and strengthen Houston’s Black-led nonprofits through belonging, education, advocacy, mentorship, and leadership.
Through its member organizations, Black Impact Houston serves thousands of Greater Houston’s most vulnerable residents and provides a range of services and offerings, including out-of-school time; workforce development; community development and affordable housing; arts and culture; criminal justice reform; public health; and a host of other services critical to the empowerment and liberation of Black people.
Black Impact Houston builds power with its nonprofit members to become integral partners in successfully building vibrant, equitable communities.

Theory of Change. BIH seeks to change the narrative by creating an environment where these organizations can flourish and have access to the resources they require to maximize their impact.
